Cerca de las 23.00 del sábado comenzó un nuevo proceso de vaciamiento del lago Cachet 2, en la Región de Aysén.
El fenómeno se repite por undécima vez desde 2008 y es la segunda vez en este año.
La súbita baja en las aguas produjo un desnivel superior a 31 metros en las últimas 48 horas.
El descenso de los niveles del lago provocó el incremento de caudales en el río Baker bajo, en el sector del río Colonia, donde el caudal aumentó de 1.100 m³/s hasta 3.511 m³/s.
En la Dirección General de Aguas señalaron que están monitoreando la situación, lo que les permite informar a los organismos competentes y levantar las alertas necesarias.
